Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN: the Great Presence of All AIPA Delegations in Cambodia Not Only Provides Huge Honor and Confidence to... 11/21/2022 4:09:52 AM Before the official opening ceremony of the 43^rd AIPA General Assembly on the morning of 21 November 2022, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia and President of the 43^rd General Assembly of AIPA, granted separate courtesy calls to the heads of the delegations from AIPA member parliaments, AIPA Secretary General, heads of observer delegations, along with the heads of young parliamentarians of AIPA on the sidelines of the 43^rd AIPA General Assembly, which was held at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel and Residence. On the occasion, Samdech AIPA President extended his great pleasure and warm welcome to the presence of all heads of delegations, as well as all members of the delegation from AIPA Member Parliaments who come to Cambodia to attend the 43^rdAIPA General Assembly. The President of the 43^rd AIPA emphasized that the esteemed presence of all honorable delegates not only greatly honors and emboldens the Cambodian Parliament, but also significantly contributes to the brilliant success of the 43^rd IPA General Assembly. He is convinced that the 43^rdGeneral Assembly of AIPA will reap a very productive and fruitful dialogue and discussion so as to further enhance the organization’s role and prestige in both regional and global arena. Addressing the delegation of young MPs, the President of the National Assembly of Cambodia sincerely commended them for expending vigorous efforts and making active contributions in the inclusion of agendas in the 43^rd AIPA General Assembly. He stated that youth is a highly energetic resource in political process, economic development, especially maintaining peace and political stability in the region and beyond. Youth representation is being promoted everywhere. Therefore, your great presence here is a reflection of your greater attention in the enhancement of the representation of ASEAN youth at both regional and global inter-parliamentary fora.
