Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN, President of the National Assembly and Rotating President of the 43rd AIPA, Hosts a Solidarity Dinner in Honor of Honorable Parliamentary Delegates... 11/24/2022 6:43:04 PM After the successful conclusion of the 43rd AIPA General Assembly on the night of 24 November 2022, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN, President of the National Assembly and President of the 43rd AIPA, hosted a solidarity dinner in honor of parliamentary delegates from AIPA member parliaments, observer countries, guests of the host, as well as national and international distinguished guests at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel and Residence in an atmosphere of great joy and closeness. On behalf of the Cambodian Parliament and the people of Cambodia, and as the President of the 43rd AIPA, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN once again extended his very warm welcome and profound thanks to all honorable delegates and guests for their esteemed presence and contributions made in the General Assembly so as to make this crucial event a proudly brilliant success. Samdech said that the entire AIPA family had not met in person for two years due to Covid-19 pandemic. He added that today gathering reflects our great success and practical experiences in the fight against this plague. Success in controlling the Covid-19 is due to the concerted international efforts and solidarity. The 43rd AIPA President emphasized that our experiences have showed us that "common problems require common solutions", and that joint international efforts and solidarity are indispensable in addressing challenges at both regional and global level. With congratulations on the glorious success of the General Assembly scored during the past four days, Samdech President stated that the achievements we reaped today will help elevate the roles of AIPA, as a four-decade old regional parliamentary organization, to the next level with a more energetic, efficient and vibrant potential in the interests of building a peaceful, prosperous, sustainable and inclusive ASEAN community. Finally, Samdech President of the 43rd AIPA wished all honorable delegates great success in the noble service to their nations, and a safe journey back to their home-countries.
